MilitiaWatchThe Proud Boys were formed in 2016 out of the alt-right surge surrounding former president Donald trump. The group is neo-fascist and exists explicitly to streetfight and intimidate their opponents, the adversaries they view as opposing ‘Western civilization’. The group is well-known for its anti-semitic, anti-feminist, and anti-LGBT stances, which are themselves often followed with violent action.

While activity was a bit lower in December on the militia front as far as news stories go, mobilization was a key fixture of this month.
