Happy Winter Solstice and (almost) Merry Christmas! This will be the final weekly update for 2020, so Happy New Year, too. Keeping this one a bit minimal, especially as the updates remain a little light this week. Just an update on the Michigan kidnapping case and a couple of readings from around the web.
Wolverine Watchmen court case update: Indictments for half a dozen militia members
A federal grand jury passed out charges to six alleged members of the Michigan Wolverine Watchmen militia this past week: Caserta, Croft, Fox, Franks, Garbin, and Harris. These indictments were no surprise, but detail the group’s long-term plan hatched last summer that resulted in major arrests earlier this fall. Another alleged Wolverine Watchman, Brian Higgins, is currently fighting an extradition order from Governor Whitmer, claiming that the target of the group’s plot has a conflict of interest against the extradition order.
